the character I least understand: Hm, I'm not really sure. The one person I didn't really get was Dumbledore but we got to know him more at the end of OoTP and later on.
interactions I enjoyed the most: The golden trio, definately. One of the reasons that the last book was so emotional for me was because of everything they have been through and that fight when Ron was wearing the horcrux. And I don't really remember if this scene is also in the book or not, but there is this part where Hermione hugged Harry right before he went to Voldemort and it reminded me when she hugged him at the end of first year and it hurt. I started crying while I was watching it even though I knew that Harry was going to make it.
the character who scares me the most: No one.
the character who is mostly like me: Hermione. I don't study as much as she does. (Honestly, who does?) But I love fascination with the magical world. I'd be if I were in Hogwarts. I honestly don't get how Harry was so chill when he was in Hogwarts. I'd be like an excited 5-year-old all the time if I were there.
hottest looks character: In books, I always imagined Harry to be quite handsome, but I'm going to go with Sirius because he is so hot, even Harry acknowledged it several times. J.K Rowling sure loved to describe how hot he was...
one thing I dislike about my fave character Er, nothing? :D My favourite character in Gryffindor is Harry and I'm well aware that he isn't perfect but his flaws don't really bother me. Idk, maybe I'm biased. :D As for Dumbledore, well, the fact that he left Harry with the Dursleys. Yeah, I know it is for safety and all but ugh. There must have been something that he could have done other than sending him to the poor excuse of family that were the Dursleys. And the fact that he basically throw him out to the dogs in the last book to look for the Horcruxes with vague hints and clues and was like 'lol. good luck.'
one thing I like about my hated character: Er, I don't like anything about Peter. Maybe that he was clever enough to get away with the Potters' death? But thinking about that just gets me pissed off. Ugh, I don't know.
a quote or scene that haunts me: In the films, Sirius' death. The look on Harry's face still gets to me. And Fred's death in the books, I think I read that part a couple of times before it dawned on me that it really happened and then I had to take a break from reading.
a death that left me indifferent: Um, that photographer boy. I was a bit sad but I didn't really know him much to be honest and I quickly forgot about it. I feel a lil guilty about that.
a character I wish died but didn’t: No one, I think.
my ship that never sailed: I used to ship Harry/Hermione before I became the huge slash shipper that I am today. Blame the films and Dan and Emma.

Tell me about your answers!

This was so much fun to read!! Thank you for answering :D

I'm going to go with Sirius because he is so hot, even Harry acknowledged it several times. J.K Rowling sure loved to describe how hot he was...
Lol yes!! I, er, love how Harry noticed so much... >.> (are you bi maybe Harry?)

Er, I don't like anything about Peter.
Ugh, yeah, idk what anyone could like about him. Perhaps that he was friends with the Marauders for so long? But I imagine he was their friend out of a sense of self preservation rather than truly liking them. He sucks big time.

I'm still not over Sirius' death.

Harry sure has a thing for his Godfather... It is my new ship and I blame my LJ friends for introducing me to it.

Yeah, I feel like Peter just pretended to be their friend. There is no way they really liked them all that much if he just betrayed them like that. I really wanted Sirius to kill him.

I'm not over it too, so I just pretend it never happened. Fanfics help. :D

At least he dies eventually lol

Yeah, but I wanted it to be Sirius who kills him, just so that he can take his revenge. He took so much shit from the world. At least he deserved that.
And no, I'm not going to think about the fact that Sirius spent years in Azkaban and then got practically locked up in a house he despised before he died and how he never really got to live his life after Hogwarts.

Ugh yeah. A lot of characters had cruel fates in this series, but Sirius and Regulus' one must be in the top five or something. Why can't we get one happy Black, Rowling?

(I was gonna say that technically Andromeda is still good and then I remembered Tonks and Bellatrix and then shut up.)

Lol!

Yeah, if Tonks lived I would say Andromeda is the one Black who got away from the Black Family Curse, it seems. But alas...

the character I least understand: I can't think of anyone really.
interactions I enjoyed the most: Harry and Draco. I love how sometimes they turn into children and just annoy each other for the sake of getting on the other's nerves. Oh, and the golden trio obviously. And any scene that has the Weasley twins in it.. :D
the character who scares me the most: No one, I think.
the character who is mostly like me: Um, Draco, I think. Mostly in how he desperately wanted to please his parents. I think HBP is where I really started to get to know the blond brat as an actual person.
hottest looks character: I already chose Sirius in another comment so I'm going with Draco here. I agree wholeheartedly for choosing Tom Felton to play him.
one thing I dislike about my fave character: Other than how Draco was a bully? He was totally annoying Harry because he loved him though. But really, I'm totally biased towards my favourite characters so I don't mind any of their flaws. :D
one thing I like about my hated character: There isn't anything good about Umbridge. After reading OoTP, I started to dislike the colour pink for a while.
a quote or scene that haunts me: When Hermione had to wipe out her parents' memories of her. When Harry was preparing himself to go and face Voldemort at the end.
"I killed Sirius Black!"
"He is just a boy."
a death that left me indifferent: Peter. I was a little happy about it.
a character I wish died but didn’t: Um, did Umbridge die? I'm not sure, but if she didn't, then her.
my ship that never sailed: Drarry. (It is totally canon and no one can convince me otherwise.)

(I only watched till the middle of season 9 so I'm basing my opinions on that. I'm planning to catch up to the TV show in the summer.)

the character I least understand: Um, I can't think of anyone really.
interactions I enjoyed the most: Basically team free will solving cases and bickering at each other and "Bitch." "Jerk"
the character who scares me the most: No one.
the character who is mostly like me: Sam, about how he is so nerdy about everything. And Cas and how he is so awkward around people. It is endearing and cute on him but it is just awkward for me...
hottest looks character: Deeeaaan.
one thing I dislike about my fave character: How Dean snaps at Sam and Cas sometimes for small things.. Also, the boys' tendencies to keep things from each other. You'd think that after so long they would have learnt their lesson by now, but nope.
one thing I like about my hated character: Er, I don't really hate any character. I mean, I used to hate Meg, right till that episode where she died. And Crowley, but he grew on me. Idk. I never really hate villians. :D
There is also Alastair and Azazel, but I can't think of anything I liked about them.
a quote or scene that haunts me: "Cas, we need you. I need you." "I'm proud of us."
a death that left me indifferent: Rufus. I was only sad that Bobby lost his friend. He was a nice man though.
a character I wish died but didn’t: I'm pretty sure almost everyone in the show already died again and again, so I don't really have anyone in mind. I have a long list of people that I didn't want to die though...
my ship that never sailed: Samifer. They would have been GREAT! And Destiel is totally canon, by the way.

the character I least understand: The reason why Gaius was so loyal to Uther, despite everything that he'd done. He had to leave his fiance, ffs.
interactions I enjoyed the most: Merthur bickering like an old married couple. Also, any scene with Gwaine in it just makes it much better.
the character who scares me the most: No one, I think.
the character who is mostly like me: Merlin
hottest looks character: Gwaine. His hair and that smirk.
one thing I dislike about my fave character: Nothing about Merlin really. So, I'm going with Arthur here. His brattiness and how he demands everything to be done for him is endearing and kinda cute until it gets too much for Merlin, then I just want him to stop. He got better in the later seasons, though.
one thing I like about my hated character: Hm, I really hated Arthur's uncle, and I can't really find anything about him that I like.
a quote or scene that haunts me "I want you to always be you."
a death that left me indifferent: Morgause, even though I liked the character. I was only sad about Morgana losing her sister.
a character I wish died but didn’t: Almost everyone in Merlin died, whether I liked them or not, so I can't really think of anyone.
my ship that never sailed: Morgana/Gwen. Merlin was canon and no I'm not in denial...

Let me know your answers, or post them in your journal. :)

Agree about not really getting Gaius' loyalty.

Merlin/Arthur banter was always golden. Gwaine is awesome.

Agravaine was truly loathsome.

"I want you to always be you." *sigh* Right in the feels.

For me:

the character I least understand: Agravaine. I don't think they ever really explained why he would turn on his sister's child.
interactions I enjoyed the most: Merlin/Arthur in all forms.
the character who scares me the most: Uther - his stubborness about magic was twisted and led to such horror.
the character who is mostly like me: Early season Gwen with her awkwardness.
hottest looks character: Merlin & Arthur.
one thing I dislike about my fave character: That Merlin didn't tell Arthur until the very end (though I blame the writers more for that.)
one thing I like about my hated character: That Kilgarrah was a Merthur shipper
a quote or scene that haunts me Most of their interaction in the last episode.
a death that left me indifferent: Elyan
a character I wish died but didn’t: Kilgarrah
my ship that never sailed: Merlin/Gwen (Gwen/Lancelot in a way because they didn't do them justice.)

I thought a lot about why would Gaius still remain loyal Uther after everything. Maybe he just held on the hope of the great king that Uther was before it all happened, but he had to see that as years passed, that it was impossible to bring that man back. I don't know, maybe he was loyal to a fault; just hoping that he would change some day. Or maybe it had to do with that Uther knowing that Gaius used magic, but never put him in prison. Maybe they just a strong unbreakable bond.

I agree about Agravaine. He was one of those villains that I didn't get their reasoning.

I really hoped Merlin would tell Arthur too. And I'm still hoping that they would do another show of Merlin but it wouldn't really be the same without the same actors.

Out of curiosity, why do you have Kilgharrah?

Gwen/Lancelot, yes! I shipped them too and really hoped for them to end up together. It would also mean that Merlin and Arthur can happen, so it is a win-win.

Yeah, a Merlin show wouldn't be the same without Bradley or Colin, though the show was far from perfect and there's lots of things I'd love to see changed.

I'm not sure hate is the right word, but I did have a strong dislike and annoyance with him. I hated all of his cryptic BS. And I really hated his part in the last episode making Merlin think Arthur could be saved and then "Oops too late he's already and the future I said you were destined for isn't quite what I suggested it would be."

I agree about his cryptic messages; sometimes they were very annoying. But I feel like the last episode/season should be blamed on the writers/producers instead since I heard they were going to make season 6 of Merlin and then it was decided against it and the writers just had to make an ending to wrap everything up. But it ended up a very frustrating ending because all of the fans, including me, were expecting to actually see Arthur finding out about Merlin's magic and Albion and all that, and not for the show to suddenly end.

I'd heard a few things here and there about there having been a possibility for a sixth season, but for the most part I read that they had planned everything out for five series, which seemed odd given the ending and everything that didn't come to fruition. If they did rush the ending, they suck even more.

(I've only watched till episode 26 so far so I haven't finished it yet.)

the character I least understand: Um, Ryuk. He is entertaining and I love his comments about everything, but I don't really understand his motivations behind doing everything that he did. It can't all be because he is bored.
interactions I enjoyed the most: L and Light. That scene where L gives Light a massage. It made me really emotional and the death afterwards only intensified that. I had so many mixed emotions when L died. Especially when Light had that stupid smirk on his face for a second.
Another is when they were handcuffed together and fighting and punching each other. It was so amusing.
the character who scares me the most: Ryuk, sometimes. But then he says that I want an apple and he goes back to being adorable once more. But I don't know, I feel like we haven't seen his dark side yet.
the character who is mostly like me: No one. There are all too clever and smart lol.
hottest looks character: Light, definitely. The bastard.
one thing I dislike about my fave character: I dislike nothing about L.
one thing I like about my hated character: Um, Misa was clever sometimes, I think. She is just so annoying that I can't think of anything good about her. I know that Light is using her and she is just falling for it, but
a quote or scene that haunts me: Other than the massage and the death scene, there is this scene where L is standing in the rain and talking about church bells that he can hear. I don't know why but I kept replaying that scene for a while.
a death that left me indifferent: Er, most of them. L and that FBI woman were the only one that really got to me so far.
a character I wish died but didn’t: Misa. I have my fingers crossed for the next couple of episodes to change that. The only downside of it that Rem's sacrifice would be in vain.
my ship that never sailed: L/Light. I didn't really ship till that episode and right where I was finally getting to realise why so many people liked them, Light ruined it again.

I'd love to know your answers. :)

(I only read the first three books, which are roughly the first 2.5/3 seasons, so I'm basing my opinions on that.)

the character I least understand: That's kind of difficult to say, since in the books we get a lot of point of views, so I feel like I understand most characters. Hm, maybe Littlefinger. And Cersei. It is a good thing that I will get to read some chapter in her point of view in the next book.
interactions I enjoyed the most: The Starks' interactions with others and each other are always good; Jon with his direwolf, Arya learning how to use a sword, etc. And I enjoy any scene where is Tyion is being his witty smartass self even though he gets in a lot of shit because of it.
the character who scares me the most: I can't think of anyone, really.
the character who is mostly like me: Um, maybe Jon? I don't really know.
hottest looks character: Jon, definitely. I only watched season 1 of the show because I didn't want to get spoiled till I finished the books, so I don't really know the looks of many other characters.
one thing I dislike about my fave character: I'm completely biased towards Jon, Tyrion and Arya, so nothing. :D
one thing I like about my hated character: I hate Jeoffery with a passion, so nothing. He was a sadistic brat. Glad he is gone. I have a love/hate relationship with Cersei, but I admire her cleverness and wit.
a quote or scene that haunts me: In the books, that scene where Bran watches his father behead someone for the first time, and then they find the direwolves. I don't know why but I really like that scene. And when Ned and Robb died.
a death that left me indifferent: Robert Baratheon.
a character I wish died but didn’t: No one. I only wanted Jeoffery dead and he is out of the way. But I'm curious and interested in the other characters so I don't want them to die yet.
my ship that never sailed: I don't really ship a lot of people in this fandom, which is kind of weird because I always find people to ship in any fandom I'm in. But the ones I kind of liked ended up with one of them dead, so yeah. I'm trying not to ship anyone so I wouldn't get heartbroken in the end like every time.
