More about Camp NaNo

I couldn't get on the internet the past couple of days, so at last my brain finally decided that it was time to catch up to my Camp NaNoWriMo goal. I'm not exactly there yet, but it is definitely better than no writing at all, right?

I keep jumping between two WIPS but this time I'm actually enjoying it. I love the plot for each story and I really like the romance. It is still at the beginning, but I really like those scenes where the characters are like "You know what? I am actually starting to like you" which is surprising because I always found difficulty in tackling those scenes, where the characters are just starting to develop feeling for one another. I'm always either moving too fast or too slowly.

I keep changing my writing time. I usually like to write just after waking up, but lately I got into the habit of waking up really late, and then I just don't feel like writing. So I switched it, and now I write right before I go to bed. Sometimes it is hard to focus and not think about just sleeping, but I always manage to stop myself and continue writing. Let's hope I keep this up.

My cabin mates are so different from each other. Like all of our projects are different but I have people who haven't even started writing yet and people who already wrote over 10000 already.
Anyway so far it is better than my last cabin since that one the only people who completed their goal was me and another person.
Colin Morgan is definitely a big reason why I am planning to watch Humans, but the show itself seems interesting. I watched Humans trailer and it was good.
I don't know when I will be able to watch it though, as far as I can tell it is only airing in Britain right now. But hopefully I will soon, before getting spoiled about every single thing by Tumblr.
I have downloaded FORCEdraft two days ago. It is a text editor that blocks everything out until a certain time is done or when you write a certain amount of words. So far it has been really helpful, and it helped to just focus and get back to writing. I really recommend it for people who are easily distracted like me.

I thought about what I am going to write in Camp NaNoWriMo in July, but in the end I just decided to not plan, and just go for it. I already have an outline  for the fic I'm writing, so I'm going to spend July finishing and editing it, and perhaps work on other stories. (Probably will, since my brain can't seem to focus on just one story.)
I have spent all day yesterday just watching Youtube videos. It has been a while and I haven't realised how much I missed it until I started. They are really entertaining, especially videos by Youtubers like Danisnotonfire, AmazingPhil or Vlogbrothers.

I just watched a video where Dan plays Outlast and I was scared for him. God, I don't even like horror games, then why do I watch people play them? Idk. But I can't stop apparently.

I will go and read a fanfic now, to erase what I have seen from my mind.

Camp NaNoWriMo: Update

I'm just going to leave this here:

Now, I didn't reach my own personal goal which was to write 30000 this month, but I reached 25K which is pretty close. I'm happy with my progress and I'm currently in this part of the plot where shit gets real and I know where I'm heading, so I should have no problem continuing this story. (Assuming that life gives me a break.)

I haven't written anything in two days. It seems that all my creative energy decided to take a break once I reached my Camp's goal. But I am determined and will get some writing today. There is this scene which I have been been looking forward to write, and I've finally reached it.

Camp NaNoWriMo

I decided to start regular posts about my writing journey. It is mostly for me, so that I have a record of my progress, but also for anyone who is interested.

This month I decided to participate in Camp NaNoWriMo (here is the link for anyone who doesn't know what that it), I participated in NaNo last November. I wrote a few thousand words but couldn't continue because I didn't have a solid plot and words just wouldn't come to me. But after the month was gone, I finally found the solution to my problem and started the fanfic again from scratch.

Ever since then, I have been on and off with writing, but when I heard about Camp starting, I decided to give myself a chance and join with 25K in mind. (My secret goal was actually 30K, but I didn't want to make it my official goal on the website in fear I wouldn't reach it.)

So far, I have written about 22000 words. I honestly can't believe it. I don't think I've written so much in one month before. I wrote a few chapters before Camp started so now The Once and Future King has overall about 28500 words in it. I'm currently half way through the plot and I can't wait to finish it. I haven't finished any story except for one which was my first story ever. And it is so awful that my sister accidentally deleted it from the computer and I wasn't even angry.

I am surprised that I managed to write so much, and honestly I'm proud of myself. I know that for a lot of people, they write a lot more than than but for me, this is a new accomplishment. I'm determined to finish this story and I can't wait to share it with everyone. This story is really dear to my heart and I can't wait to see people's reactions; whether it is good or bad, I don't care. As long as it is honest. It will help me become a better writer.

(Oh and by the way, that icon is the cover of the story, made @_teenagers on Wattpad.)
