Now I must apologize for vanishing. ^^;;
Work became extreme and in between I was reading books for research and writing.

I certainly want to come to Winds of Winter without spoilers. That is lame. He could give them all that they need to know and just proceed in order season by season. Sheesh.

Basically, all WIPs must bow down before the main one. I consider them fun detours that still sharpen my writing skills until a later date.
I am glad in this instance that my characters did what they wanted as it is turning out to be more interesting that what I had planned. :)

Wasn't convincing him that magic should be allowed one of the things that Merlin wanted to do?

Yes! What about the Epic Partnership to Unite The Lands of Albion? We never really saw the Glory Days of Merlin and Arthur. At least Queen Gwen knows. Still.
I always thought that Arthur (depending on which myth or retelling you read) made it to middle age before dying/going off to Avalon. He still died sooner than he ought to have but I envisioned him as being like 40-something. Like early 40s. It is hard to discern how much time elapses in the show but they look to be about late 20s. :P I forget how old the actors are. Arthur totally died prematurely.

Yeah. I can't commit to crazily long tv shows either...
..unless I start out early on and become besotted, which is rare.
