I went to the dentist yesterday, which was a pleasant yesterday like always. But anyway, as I was waiting for my turn to come, I wrote a little on my phone. Today I am going to read what I wrote and make sure that it actually makes sense before moving on.

In 2016 I am planning I working on a YA/MG sci fi novel (!!!) (and here is me being boggled at that sentence). My goal is to wind up at around 50K. We'll see. I am working on an outline, with a goal of having ten-ish chapters that are around 3-5 K each. I am having some POV issues - I have three characters I started with - one for each of my kids - but I think that won't work. I am not sure if I should just focus on one of them or jump around. I love their different voices, but I feel like it may be too much. We'll see.

That's awesome! I love YA novels. <3 I try from time to time to write original fiction, but I keep getting distracted by fanfiction.

A couple sentences. Because ever onward.

I'm about ready to swear off tumblr though. The baby fandom I'm in, the people that post the most about the pairing I like, are turning things into a popularity contest. I'm about ready to unfollow all of them and stay in my own little corner and post to AO3 and forget about engaging with the fandom at all. Ugh, tumrbl why do you make me go right back to high school and feeling like nothing?

Tumblr can get overwhelming at times. I love the website but every now and then I feel like I need a break from it because of the drama that shows up from time to time, at least in my fandoms. :/
