Hello!

It's been a while. Sorry for suddenly disappearing off the face of the planet like that. Constants moving back and forth every week because of college, assignments and RL took up all of my time, and suddenly it's been months since I posted something aside from fanfics. I miss LJ and DW, and so I will be lurking around here once more. Hopefully, I will actually remember to post an entry every now and then.

So, a general update about my life. Started college as you can tell, I'm majoring in Chinese with a minor in French, but I'm thinking of switching majors. I really like Chinese but I don't feel like it is what I really want to study. But this year hasn't been a total waste, it is always interesting to learn a new language and learn more about another culture, and I think I learnt a lot.

Unfortunately, I haven't been writing nearly as much I'd like to, and it gets harder to get back to it every time I get caught up with college and not write for a while. I miss the feeling of writing every day, of being constantly thinking about a story. I also have been reading a lot of fanfics, but not enough original fiction, so that's something I really want to get back to too.

I've also heard a lot about LJ's new rules. I'm not planning on leaving, but I've cross-posted everything on DW just in case, so feel free to add me there. Also, if you have an account on DW, leave me a comment. I'd hate to know that someone's journal was suddenly deleted.

Same. :) How neat! I studied French in school and now I am trying to learn Chinese. (I know quite a lot of kanji/hanzi from studying Japanese) Do you know what you might switch to?

I miss the feeling of writing every day, of being constantly thinking about a story.

I want to switch to Japanese, which I wanted to major in the first place but couldn't last years because of a stupid rule. But this year, hopefully, I can.
So, it is the other way around for me, I know a low of hanzi from studying Chinese, and I got used to writing characters so hopefully writing Japanese won't be too difficult.

I hear mixed things, but I think having studied either one is a help in the other direction so long as you are not starting them at the same time at the exact same level. :)
