Outlined a little today. Now I know more or less how I'm going to end this fic, but I still have to tie some strings. But eh, I'm not going to worry about them until I reach that point. Also, I finally started to write again. There is this scene that has been nagging me for days now. No matter how much I fix it, I'm still unsatisfied with it. Ugh. I'm tempted to just leave it for a couple of days then come back to it, but it is really important to the plot that I can't write anything after that scene without knowing exactly how it ends. Hopefully I will reach to some sort of ending to it today and move on.
Most shows already aired their season finales and that reminds me of how many I need to catch up to/start to watch. Ahhh so manyyy.
My priorities at the moment are to catch up to Supernatural (and maybe Game of Thrones? Depends on whether I get to read book 4 and 5 soon or not.) and start a new show. I haven't decided on one yet. (Hannibal? Teen Wolf? S.H.E.I.L.D?) so we will see.
Oh, and I want to re-watch Merlin. I miss it terribly.

Date: 26/6/15 02:33 am (UTC)The other day I was just scrolling through Twitter, carefully avoiding spoilers because everyone had just watched the finale a couple of days ago when a fucking program on the TV decided to just say the names of the people who died in the finale. And I just... I was so shocked that I didn't recover quickly enough and got spoiled for two characters. Ugghhhh. Whenever I remember this, I get so angry. It just ruined everything for me. I heard rumours about one of those characters, but it was unconfirmed because apparently it happened at the end of book 5 and no one is sure they died. (Remember the whole thing with Cat? They said it might be something along to this.) So I'm not exactly sad for that character, and I wasn't surprised for the other because let's be honest, this is ASoIaF, everyone will die. But I was just angry that I got spoiled. And I just unfollowed everything GoT-related on my social media, even the ones who are careful with spoilers, because fuck it, I will not get spoiled for the sixth book.
Writing is fun no matter what, and that's why I put up with it even when my mind is constantly shifting between stories, rarely focusing on just one.
Characters can really surprise you in pleasant ways sometimes. Like this one time, one of my characters killed someone accidently. I was actually shocked when it occurred to me but later on it made sense in the context of his development and it will actually help him later in the story. I guess my subconscious was trying to send me a message? :D
Yes! So many things we didn't get to see, so many things that the writers just gave us glimpses about but not enough to satisfy us. Characters like Gwaine, Mordred, the Druids.. They had so much story potential. So many things that could be developed. And I realise that the writers were focusing on Arthur and Merlin because Merlin couldn't leave Arthur and couldn't trust someone else enough to talk about his magic, but I had hoped that, once Arthur finally accepts magic, they can start working on other plotlines.
Also, I really didn't like some of the deaths in the series. Not because they were sad (They were. They broke my heart.) but because they just left me empty and unsatisfied. For example, Lancelot's death. It was honourable and brave and all that, but once I've read more about the original Arthurian mythology, I really had hoped they would work on the whole love triangles between Arthur, Gwen, and Lancelot more. I hate love triangles, but this one could have been really interesting, could have been taken in a lot of ways. I didn't want it to end like how it ended in the original mythology, with Camelot falling apart, but I wanted to see an alternative ending.
Like Arthur ending up with Merlin.I don't know really. I suppose the writers never wanted to focus on that but ugh. So much potential. They could have made another five seasons with all the plot threads they had. I love the ending, but I honestly think it would have been better if the TV show was longer, both from a fangirl and a casual viewer's perspective.Yeah, the show skipped a lot of years though the seasons that it is hard to exactly know how much time has passed. Especially since some of the actors and actresses look so young.
Welp. Long reply.
